The Sadness of the World We Live In

Fri Oct 30, 2009, 4:22 PM
A year ago, I can't believe just one year ago, it was when I first met Bill. Bill was like me, as I know me. Wise, great shot, killer of zombies, and most of all, creepy when healing Zoey. Bill was my hero, and I knew that there was no one else. He was there for me when a Tank showed up. He was there when the world went South real fast. (Get pun?) And when I was grounded and not able to engage in the genocide, each time I came, Bill was there, with a Carbine in hand to make me remember what Life is all about.

A year ago, one full year ago, I met Zoey. My first thoughts? "Wow!! Shotgun, angry, and sexy at the same time? Well, she'd be perfect if she only had bigger boobs." But I grew out of that thinking as I spent more time with her. Zoey was there with a Hunting Rifle to provide back-up when the zombies flooded.

Francis a year ago made me feel like leaving him to die. But as the genocide went on, I realized that there was more to this "Prick," and that deep, down in his heart, there was more. And then I searched Francis and realized that there was more. More prickness. But when standing next to Bill and having Zoey provide back-up, there he was, helping even when the Tank appeared.

Louis? Louis was the black guy in the beginning. He was the 'Oh God, not you' guy. But goshfethit, when that dasterdly hunter pounced you, Louis was there to shove it back.

Bill, Zoey, Francis, Louis. The four, the legendary four who against much odds, found ways to cheat the zombies time and time again. These four have a special place in the annals of the Zombiepocalypse. They were there from the beginning. But in two weeks, we won't be there for them anymore.

Now, we must move on. The zombies don't just exist in Pennsylvania, and we, the heroes of the New Age, have been sent down to the Southern United States to wage war against the zombies there. We have arrived at the dock, and have met the new Four(but three, because who likes Rochelle): Coach, Ellis, and Nick.

They have called us, and it is us who will answer.

And such will be written down at the end of the Zombiepocalypse, when all the corners of the world will be saved. And many groups of four will come, and WE SHALL JOIN THEM!!!

But the First Four? We cannot let them die. For when the Zombiepocalypse is over, we will know the first ones to make it to the final bastion of humanity, and they will be there to save the rest when it is called for.

Such is the sadness of the world we live in.

An Ork Horde beseiged the desert city of Argus. It fell to us, the Space Marines, to drive them back. Contact with the enemy came quickly and brutally. I pushed north and soon came face-to-face with a massive Ork Warboss. My chainsword spoke for me. The Orks numbers might have overcome me, but the Apothecary lent his support. Together, we sent the Warboss running. Again and again we clashed with the Greenskin Warboss, Mek Boy, and Kommando. For every blow we landed, they claimed an equal share of blood. When the Ultramarine charge came, the Ork Horde faced the full might of the Chapter. And their mighty venerable Dreadnought fell upon the Greenskins like the Emperor's Wrath. Finally, my Blood Ravens and I launched a strike at the massive teleporter platforms feeding the Ork invasion. Wielding our Thunderhammers, we drove into the Greenskins. The Orks fought with every ounce of their savagery. And for each alien we killed, three more appeared. But our brothers among the Space Wolves and the Ultramarines charged into the gap we had opened. Victory was ours!
